We stayed 3D2N at Hydro Majestic during Deepavali holiday. Booked directly thru the hotel 2 days before arrival date & we managed to secure our booking w/o any booking at all. Deluxe room was really spacious but the toilet is abit small. Room is clean & the view is nice. Breakfast with wide selection & everything was hot from the oven.. including the pastries. Amazingly, they served nasik minyak & rendang daging for breakfast during our stay. We didn't have time to jump into the pool but the view from the swimming pool was really great. We dont mind of staying here again next time.

The reception service was very poor and slow, we have to wait for 30 minutes until we have a room. We stayed in the junior suite on top floor. The room was great. Two attached rooms, one was the bedroom, the other was the so-called office. And two bathrooms! The view was magnificent from up there. The breakfast offered a lot of choices. But I was drawn aback by the very small swimming pool. I think it was not up to the size of the hotel itself.

I stayed 4 nights there for darts tournament on May'08. The hotel is nice....room is nice too. But the service is bad.
I have some number of complaints about the hotel..
1) Few of reception desks but only one receptionist (should be patience)
2) Get up in the morning...after breakfast around 11pm,still haven't clean up the room,even until 3pm.
3) The swimming pool is the worst part. No lifeguard there,no worker stop the children and parents swim with their clothes.
4) The swimming pool is very very very dirty that u can't imagine. But u could try to swim with rubbish. And i think there has no filter system for swimming pool too.

great service, eventhough we did a late checkin on the day its self. The front counter are helpfull and very attentive to our needs. Surely will be coming soon for our next trip at Penang.

Nice room provided. Friendly customer service. Foods and drinks so-so compared with food stall along Gurney Drive. Regular swimming pool enough for fun. Bridge is prepared to cross over the main road to Ferringhi Beach. As cheap as 50cents to play a video game at lobby. Quite entertaining if you are idle at room. Stayed several times, but still my first choice if travel to Penang.

Very nice place. Great location, quality and price. Won't burn your wallet yet provide you with very good service. Did not eat there but the pool and rooms were great. Had a massive room with a gorgeous view. Couldn't have asked for more. Quite near to town where the food and night market is. Far from Georgetown though so those without transport might need to reconsider.
